Just...A...Little...Farther...*GASP*
So the way my semesters worked out, I have had 4 weeks of overlapping classes. A full load in the European Division is 3 classes. A full load in the US division is 4 classes because they're a bit slower paced. I'm taking 3 European and 2 US classes right now. I think I'm losing what little mind I had to begin with. One of those classes is an exam prep class for the CompTIA Security+ certification. My instructor said that if we manage to pass the Sec+ certification, we will get an automatic 100% on our midterm AND final exams. So that's it. I'm taking the cert test tomorrow.
5 classes and a cert is a lot to do at one time. Seriously, I've never studied this hard my entire life. I wonder what would have happened if I had. So here's the schedule:
Tomorrow: 3 hour drive to Twin Falls (with Mom helping me cram the whole way), take the exam which is several hours long, then drive back again.
Thursday: Take 2 (or 3 if I don't pass the cert) final exams
Friday: Do all the homework I didn't finish because of all this testing
Saturday: Sit on my big butt and maybe play some video games. 'Cause I'll deserve it.
So after that, I'll be a quarter way through 2 classes and will start 1 more next week, bringing me back to a full load of 3 classes. Whew! I never thought plain old full time would seem so sweet!

Heather is a Bone Head
A rapidly shrinking bone head, but a bone head none the less. So I dropped off my Mini because it got a few scratches in the paint during the last wind storm. The rear window that the ladder was thrown through (seriously, you would NOT believe the wind here unless you've been here yourself) my rear window was already replaced. Let me just tell you, USAA is a really pro organization. I was the weakest link in this process, and they were totally cool and patient with me the whole time. Awesome. Anyway, Mom picked me up from the auto body shop (another really awesome organization called Top Gun Collision Center - also very much recommended!) and I didn't grab my phone out of my mom's car.
Mom and Dad are now on a romantic getaway to Lake Tahoe for 5 days, so I am sans phone. I have a backup, but it's only got a couple of minutes on it and I need to keep those for an emergency, so if ya ain't got Skype, I can't talk to ya. *pout*
Other than that, as I mentioned above, I'm a rapidly shrinking bone head. I went back on the Atkins diet. Man, do I get awesome results on that diet. I lost 8 lbs in the first 2 weeks of the program and it doesn't show signs of slowing down. I've officially lost 26 lbs since I left Kuwait and I'm actually starting to see it. I think closer to this Fall, I'll post some before and after pictures for you guys. I can't believe what awful shape I got into over there. Unhappiness, lack of sleep and time to exercise and eating at a military chow hall made me enormous! But I now weigh almost what I did before I went to Kuwait.
My degree will be done in November, I'll be a sleek, sexy momma, and Tom and I will be ready for the big move. I feel like I'm cramming for a test, only the end game for me is starting the new phase of my life. I feel like even though this part of the building process isn't all that sexy or thrilling, it's like having to make sure you have a good, solid foundation on which to build the walls and roof, and that's when it gets really exciting. But you can't get there without that foundation and my foundation is looking rock solid. :)
