I tell you what, I'm not going to let that kid out of the villa for a few days, I reckon. I hope he's been eating his Wheaties. Haha!
So Tom and I both have birthdays shortly after the holidays. Perhaps this is why we fell for each other and it wasn't the cat at all (if anyone hasn't heard this story ad nausium, let me know and I'll be happy to elaborate), but was instead our shared commiseration over having birthdays this time of year. Everyone is too partied out for birthdays usually.
However, my mom and dad managed to pull off a little something and I got the most beautiful flowers from my beloved husband (the one who may soon need rescuing after I've had him locked in the bedroom for a week). Here is a picture of a few of my favorite things from my birthday:

Tom was joking around about how all of his friends and family should chip in and buy him a Porsche for his birthday, and while I'd love to do it for him, I am currently an unemployed writer and full time student, so that would be a negative, Ghost Rider.
Justin P, however, is a rich contractor and saw fit to give my husband the gift of his dreams. It's parked right here at the house. What a friend! What a benefactor! What a... oh wait. I may want to check out the perspective a little on this.

And here's a picture of the culprit:

Unsavory looking fellow, no? Yes? Definitely. Yes, Justin is as big a degenerate as he looks like. I love that kid.
A few years ago, for my 30th birthday party, I had kind of had it with parties that just weren't me. I decided that at 30, I deserved to relive my childhood to some extent, and so I threw myself an 80's party. It was amazing! All my Kwaj friends went to ridiculous lengths to order things months in advance (USPS Mail, bless their hearts!) and to date, after my wedding it's my favorite party I've ever been to. So I thought I'd post a few of the pictures from that party that I'd recently run across for everyone's amusement. The first is the three amigos:
And now the lovely vocal stylings of a drunk Tyler and a drunker Heather. I'm pretty sure we were singing along with Journey:
All the hottest girls in school:
And as the party wore on, things started to get out of hand, as one would hope! Don't ask me what Jane is doing. I haven't the foggiest, and I'm pretty sure neither did she:
And then things really got out of hand when the goth chick beat the crap out of the preppy chick.

Ah! That was a good party! I won't subject you guys to Mattie's degrading daisy dukes that seemed to get shorter and more non-existent as the night wore on, but you should all rest assured that I have plenty more blackmail material where this stuff comes from! :)
Happy birthday to me and happy birthday to my baby! And thank goodness the holidays are now pretty much officially over for yours truly!
